Adult Literacy Services at Huntington Beach Public Library sees success with their Citizenship Exam Preparation classes!

Esperanza M. became a U.S. citizen last week after taking the 10-week Citizenship Exam Preparation class! Offered at both Central and Oak View Branch Libraries, this popular class prepares adults for the interview and exam which includes questions about U.S. history and civics.  So far, this fiscal year, 11 adults have become U.S. citizens after taking this class at the library.  These life-changing successes would not be possible without the trained volunteers who teach the Citizenship Exam Preparation classes and provide practice sessions.  A big thank you to volunteers Ned, Alice-Marie, Sharon, Mike, John, Monica, Tom, Jacki and Julie!
