Joy

One of the greatest joys of my retirement is volunteering for the Oak View Literacy Program – assisting my students in their goal of learning English.

As a retired Public Health Nurse, I observed the importance of parents being able to communicate with medical and nursing personnel, pharmacists and therapists.  I am also aware of the importance of communication with their child’s school and their ability to advocate on behalf of their child.

I want to congratulate my students and all of the other literacy students on their hard work and commitment to learn!
